I double checked the #YearlongMixtape archives and I have not yet posted this one, so here it is! My other favorite Genesis song - awesome song, awesome video. I remember not being old enough to really understand what was going on politically for most of the 80s, but just that we were always supposed to feel very scared of some bad thing happening, and Reagan was going to keep us safe (ha!). It didn't make any sense to me - probably because it was senseless from the start.
And I remember watching the Spitting Image show (which the puppets in the video are from) that aired on NBC in the late 80s. I'd love to see the original British version, if I ever get time...
