Sting & The Police Week - "Fragile"

Wrapping up #StingAndThePoliceWeek with a devastating and powerful song from Sting's "...Nothing Like The Sun" album.  He had planned to perform and record a live concert in Italy on September 11, 2001, of course not knowing what was going to happen that day.  The concert still happened, and he released a DVD of the performance, along with a documentary of rehearsals and some incredible interviews with himself and his band as they were finding out about the attacks in the U.S.

Here's a link to the full Italy concert:

A prayer for nonviolence, I hope you enjoy it.

"If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
Drying in the colour of the evening sun
Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away
But something in our minds will always stay
Perhaps this final act was meant
To clinch a lifetime's argument
That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could
For all those born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are
How fragile we are how fragile we are"
